Alrighty, well, I got a little cash (and a lovely Amazon Gift Card from my sisters) for Christmas so I gots me some new toys, here they are!
#1 - Marathon General Purpose Quartz w/Date/Tritium
I actually owned one of these watches for a short period about 5-6 years ago but I got an offer on it I couldn't refuse. They were on sale for Boxing Week for $99 (instead of $160) so I got one. Serendipitous, as I was looking to replace my Luminox.

It's been a long time since I've had a *new* tritium lumed watch and I had forgotten just how nice it is. Couple of agreeable surprises with this watch, too. The first was that you don't have to clip the wire bars to change the band - they'll just slide out with a paperclip. This is good, as the band they include is somewhere between a disappointment and an abomination. I replaced it with my favourite King's silicone diver band with a stainless butterfly clasp.

The other nice surprise - no more battery hatch! I'm not sure when this happened by it seems all the latest GPQs use snap on SS case backs like the Navigator. This is a heckuva nice change as the battery hatch on the old watch was often cited as a source of failure.
Toy #2
Hero 9627
Whelp, I hadn't actually mentioned this before, but I ended up quitting my job due to health reasons and going back to school for my CFP designation. One positive is that I can go back to using fountain pens since I'm no longer using carbon contracts all the time. This baby caught my eye on Aliexpress - black lacquer over brass, SS fittings, 0.38MM iridium point nib and it included a converter.

I'd almost forgotten how nice writing with a fountain pen can be, and this baby is the smoothest I've ever written with. This includes a bloody expensive Elysee and Visconti that I've owned in the past. For $4.57 shipped it's an incredible deal.
