It's the same thing.

You're thinking, 'It's gonna be bad. It's gonna be bad."
And it almost always is.

But...

NOT always.

So you keep coming back, because sometimes you hit the jackpot. Even if they're small jackpots

With fish scalers.

But with out the scaler, however will I spontaneously scale my imaginary fish?
Why stop now?

I too have played the cheap tool lottery a few times, but I'm now just starting to wake up to the fact that this leads to one of two scenarios:

1) The tool is a complete pile of poo and would probably cause bodily harm, fail, or wreck what I'm working on if I tried to use it on anything.
RESULT: I end up thinking "now what?" I'm never going to use it, I don't want to "collect" it - and I'll never get any money for it

2) The tool is actually half decent, but I've got other better (or better suited to me) tools which are far more likely to get used and carried.
RESULT: I end up thinking "now what?" I'm never going to use it, I don't want to "collect" it - and I'll never get any money for it

Some of these are great starter tools for people on a budget, and I'm glad this new forum has opened to give them a little "airtime" .... but I'd be extremely surprised if any ever replaced my regular carry ... the only one that's ever come close is the Bahco (and another nearly identical with different branding)

I never recommend a cheapo as a starter tool, it could just put someone off the idea of multitools altogether. My own starter was the original LM supertool and it was the quality of it that got me hooked.
