The Broken and Damaged Thread...

Your Soldier gave it its all... (or almost its all).  Let's see what you did to your SAK.

Bent my saw, while sawing through this tree...

I also snapped off a saw when trying to cut down a (Insert VERY BAD word here)ing black locust tree.

.

I HATE those (Insert VERY BAD word here)ing things.

So, how'd you break yours?
If you can't fix it with duct tape, a hammer, a screwdriver, bailing wire, zipties, or a Swiss Army Knife, it's broken and irreparable.

Isn't that tree a bit big for your tool?  (i.e. right tool for the job?)

But I suppose if that's the only saw you had at the time, what else can you do...

Look at the thorns on that thing! :o

I've chewed up a few screwdriver heads by being an idiot, and I've chipped knife blades, but so far never managed to really wreck one :-\

Ive only ever broken one Vic tool, and it was on a compact that was only a few hours old.  The scissors! I went to use them and it was on heavy material, and I twisted, with a bit of a prying action.  They snapped right in half about an inch from the pivot.  That had to be a materials flaw though as Id never seen anything like that.
