I opened up a PST to clean out some dried paint. I simply used 2 other pairs of pliers, one on each side of the tool, to disassemble it.

I used this same trick to try to loosen the serrated blade on a Charge ALX as it was too tight for my liking.  It worked well, but I did scratch up the screws a bit.

It was rumored that the Kick sideclip had a knurled circle and could be used as a wrench. Never had one so cannot say if this is certain.

Yes the kick pocket clips work, although fiddly.

And don’t forget that gently heating the screws should help loosen the locktight  :tu:
Everything’s adjustable

Better to open them up or bathe them in various fluids?  I cleaned a few of mine with a combination of CLR and cleaning solvent.  Scrubbed them out with a pipe-cleaner and rinsed with hot water.  Then I dried it all out with a bit of heat, and applied the lubrication.

Wow, I never even thought about that. Good catch.

I think you can use a Pocketwrench to grab hold of them too.
