Yep, and in between the old Le Depanneur tool and the current Wichard tool, there was the Au Sabot X2:(Image removed from quote.)
Wow def, your tool has three slip joint positions. I bet it opens wide.Does the wichard tool have three positions?50ft-tradI found two retailers. One for 127 and the other for 97. I had a coupon and paid 82. Which is 49.2 pounds.

Thanks. Every now and then I think about taking it out for a spin but decide against it.

I'll measure it when I get a moment, but I daresay it's capable of handling bolts much too large for bare hands to manage so I'm not sure it's really that useful if you get my drift.Quote from: Swiss Man on January 26, 2013, 01:37:50 PMThanks. That beautiful piece has earned a comfortable retirement.Def
Swiss manThat is an awesome tool!BobI got the glow in the dark one
HandyBoy belonged to my father he carried one while in Korea.Slip joint pliers, adjustable wrenchscrewdriver / pry bar.I saw a complete set once it came with a leather sheath with a fix blade and a marlin spike about 4 inches. DRAWER QUEEN NOW.(Image removed from quote.)
They had a model with a Marlin Spike and folding knife, and then one with a fixed blade. I sold all nine of mine (all NIB) to a knife dealer a couple months ago for a song, since I couldn't find anyone who had interest in them. :/

It makes them cut faster
Wow, that must be a hight speed knife! that is shame we didn't pick any of those tools up when you had them for sell. On another note. I recieved my Wichard multitool today. And I have never seen such a blatant QC problem. The plier heads do not line up. Similair to the sog tool clip I posted about on the forums before. But here is the worst part, the slip joing pliers can't be used because the pin holding the two plier halves together is wider than the slide it should go up and down in to move from the norrow opening to the wide opening. So it is always stuck in the narrow opening... I have owned a lot slip joint pliers but I have never heard of this.
Just picked up this little channellock 424 as a companion to my surge.(Image removed from quote.)

I don't see how it could have been made any better. I wonder if Witchard started cutting corners on the design after buying it? I haven't seen a Witchard up close so I don't know what they are like, but that sounds bad.Def
