Hello folks, I'm new at this forum and now I need some help. Firstly, I find the MUT/EOD version demonstrated at US Cavalry a bit strange: http://www.uscav.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=20691&tabid=548Is this a prototype or some early production? Hint: 2 screws in the plastic filler under the carbon scraper. There are also other things, like the missing locking latch.Secondly, I am a bit disappointed of my new MUT/EOD. Had never imagined a tool of this caliber would consist of any plastic parts. When my tool arrived, the driver bit retainer (the biggest of the plastic parts) was crushed. So now the tool is shipped back to LM via our national channels. Anyone else had any problems with the plastic parts of their MUTs?
Ahh. Thanks. Not many produced of this first generation then?May need to send my PST II also for some warranty rebuild. Its an 1195/0296 with broken points of the plier and a broken screwdriver after many years of use and abuse. Is there any leather sheath for the MUT? I have a TripleK magazine pouch which seems to do the job, with some shaping thou.
Brass is a great idea! Good luck, and let us know how it goes As regards the cap crimper, I have no idea. Blasting caps are not generally available here, and I have never seen one. As a matter of fact I did not even realize they are made in different sizes
The replacement (2nd) MUT/EOD arrived a few days ago. This one passed the quality control
