Very nice!  I'd need one of those orange Gerbers to match my Seiko! :P

What do you think of the CX?

Thanks very much!!! I like it... and impressed by the quality. I read that the clip might be an issue... I will keep my eyes out on that! The 4 months wait is worth it

It's too soon to tell for sure, but I don't think the clip is a significant issue really.  I snugged mine down when it got loose, and it hasn't budged since then.  Of course it hasn't got as many miles on it since I tightened it, but it is tighter than it was when I got it.

If it persists in being an issue, I have some locktite waiting for it! :D

Does it have a plain blade or a combination one?

Anyone else think the serration scallop (the bigger one) is a too big for the blade size?

Yes, the serration is not proportional (too big) to the size of the blade.

Maybe it would have been better if they'd used only the small scallops?

Small only would be too small. Maybe reduce the bigger one to 2/3, or 3/5 of its size, and don't grind it so deep.

Is there some kind of explanation or advantage that Leatherman itself has to offer? I'm definitely not a knife aficionado; yet I've yet to come across this type design either.

Which type of design, the big-small-small serration? About everybody use it, or some variation of it. If you are talking about the size of scallop, I don't think it made any actual difference besides looks.

That is what I was referring to and figured that you were also; yet thought that the discussion went beyond cosmetics only and that the designer might have (somehow) felt reason to do this in that location on the blade.
Again, I have never even owned a serrated knife before beyond the one on my dinner plate.
