Eatensil Multitool

Here’s a tool for people who seriously like to eat. It’s called the Eatensil. It’s like a Swiss Army Knife, but with several utensils instead of tools. This gadget comes from fast food company Just Eat and it will handle everything from Chinese take out to pepperoni pizza.

Just Eat is an online delivery service where customers can place orders for their favorite restaurants. This device is aimed at those who are always eating on the go. Should come in handy if you are rarely home.

I am thinking of many major sanitation issues with that doodad!

I can't imagine it would be easy to clean on the go, and between the wooden parts and the pizza cutter I can see all kinds of places where bacteria would live a long and prosperous life.

Would you like a side order of salmonella with that?   :ahhh

Several other folks have posted stuff on this tool elsewhere. Man... terrible. Setting aside ugly, there's the little issue of bolting wooden parts to an MT. I can't imagine cleaning this thing is easy, and therefore, I have issues with sanitation, along with longevity of wooden parts.

Who the smurf ever needs a pizza cutter when they're away from home? I've never been to a place where they didn't cut the pizza for you (although, admittedly, not always well).

I think folks would be better served with a hobo tool and a pair of chopsticks.

And oh, look... the single most space wasting cap lifter style. Yay.

Not a fan. But, at least it's interesting, and... different.

EDIT: Crap, Grant ninja'd me.

I'm always bemused at the belief a bunch of half-assed implementations of a set of different tools is better than a good implementation of a single tool. A good tool can be used in surprising ways, a bad tool can't be used well at all. Or, to be specific, a proper spoon is better than a bad spoon, pizza-cutter, butter knife, etc. It was the pizza-cutter which more or less convinced me this is a joke, but, well, you never know...

(Conversely, a good implementation of a set of tools is just awesome. :D )

A pizza cutter implement idea was to take like a third of a circular roller cutter. and affix the center to an arm with a rocker cam. Then could just push & pull when cutting, the rocker would give motion to the cutting. That would save having to ruin an edge of a knife.

I submitted this idea as part of a kitched multitool to Leatherman, guess they was not impressed. :-\
