Group buys
on: March 25, 2008, 08:37:08 PM
I've been told that I am in on the group buy for the Skeletool Cx.

Are there any rules or requirements around these sales that I should know about in general? (tried a search and no results).

You need to send me an annual $10,000 fee to be eligible for Multitool.org Group Buys....   :pok:

Seriously, there really isn't any proper etiquette for our group buys.  Ordinarily we'll arrange something through a dealer, usually one of our banner advertisers and you are either in or out.

The Skeletool Group Buy is through Marc at EDCDepot.com (oddly enough, he can be reached at marc@edcdepot.com) and he can fill you in on any information you need to know.  There's a price list around here somewhere- I'll dig it up and post it for you, and anyone else who may not have seen it.

Unfortunately, due to an availability problem, the group buy hasn't been finalized yet, so if you haven't talked to Marc about it, you may not be in.

Thanks....I'll just consider myself lucky to be in on this and claim financial hardship on the annual fee.  :D

My initial e-mail to Marc asked about all of us indeed getting in on that first shipment to him and that there was no need to reply if this was true. I have to admire a guy who sets it up this way; as I am guessing that he could have sold every one of these to a lot of other folks at a premium.

Yeah, I insist on only dealing with stand up guys for advertisers, which is why we don't have too many....

I really wish I could cheapen myself some days!

I like you already and big kudos to Marc for being that kind of guy also.

Life is pretty simple when you break it down into those terms...and refuse to suffer the rest (I also believe that good things will come to those with your philosophy!)  :multi:

I couldn't agree more.  I even had him special order something for me, and he's waiting until the Skeletools come in to charge me for everything at once.  Hard to get a better guy to deal with than that!

The fact that I'm waiting to support the forum with this group buy, is the only thing keeping me from getting the Skeletool anywhere else :ahhh
