I wonder if Carrie Fisher wears a "Big Granny Pants" version of the outfit in Jabba's lair  You know the kind of thing, very functional looking and built to last longer than the wearer. In fact Stormtroopers kind of wear a similar thing in the pants depatment, but theirs come with integral legs and sleeves and pug faced hat. So yeah, Stormtrooper style kex with matching over the shoulder boulder holder, sat there wondering why all the fellers aren't getting as excited as they were last time.....

Just a thought.....

I am willing to bet most of you heard about the man who was a hugs Star Wars fan, but was diagnosed with connective tissue cancer and was given two months to live back in September. He would most likely die before the movie was released so a campaign on social media went crazy to let him see the movie before it was released. Incredibly his wish was granted. I heard they brought the movie to his home along with some heavily armed guards to make sure the movie was secure. I have not been able to confirm the guards yet, but it was what I heard through word of mouth. He got to live out his last wish and very soon (I believe 1-2 days, also word of mouth) after he watched the movie he died. I would like to think he was so content that he was ready to go. Either way I think its a great story even if it has a sad ending.

Sounds like the movie Fanboys, except they didn't ask for Star Wars, they broke into Skywalker Ranch and took it.

Sort of....

I heard about this and like to hear about such kindness toward the ill. The wife and I are really looking forward to seeing this though we're not going to battle with the lines during the first days of showing.

Given the option of seeing it at the premier on the 16th in 3D or 2D what would you choose?

No IMAX option for me unfortunately.

I saw the Dark Knight in IMAX and even though I loved the film so much I saw it again. It actually gave me a really bad headache. The sound was awesome at IMAX though. Maybe that contributed to it. I kind of think it was better in normal screen because that's what they directed it for. 3D can also be distracting in a full feature film IMHO.
