Question: If Whitaker was a Chaos Marine, would he beat a Jedi? (Serious question, I would like to know, as I'm undecided which one I will train to be).
Easy choose for me. Chaos Space Marine. Helmet with horns, big gunz and Bolters, chainsaw swords, power suit with daemon markings and you get to say cool things like "skulls for the skull throne" or "Sanity, is for the weak!"

Not sure who would win. Both have some bad ass powers. Would make for a good fight.

Can chaos marines call on chaos powers or Gods/demons (like Elric can) as Jedi can use the force?
The Jedi are such poor sword fighters, I'm pretty sure I could beat them :P ::)

It was sitting in the shopping trolley in a small bag along with the big bags from the supermarket...

Just bought the DVD to watch tonight. My wife is very gamely watching it with us. I felt confident with BSG that if she gave it a chance she'd enjoy it, but as much as I love Star Wars, it's not at the same level of anything (except SFX) with BSG. Fingers crossed though.

Or the other plan I had was to offer a choice of 'Das Boot' directors cut (4.75 hours of submerged brilliance) or SWTFA at just over 2 hours. That might work.........

Got the Blu-ray this morning.  Thought I could get away with just watching the bonus material, but no, I'm now watching the film again.  I am getting the housework done.  Honest. :whistle:

What's the bonus material G? Any deleted scenes?

The usual mix of pre-production, a few interviews, casting, etc.  Yes, there are some deleted scenes but nothing hugely significant.

Just finished watching. My standard DVD didn't come with any extras at all  >:( Looks like they're pushing for everyone to have Bluray whether they want it or not.

Question. Why do Leia and Chewy walk right past each other after the Falcon lands after Hans death? They've both just lost the most important person in their lives. Poor Chewy always gets sidelined.

I still reckon Phasma is Reys mum. She dropped those shields with no fuss.

I hadn't really picked up on this the first time i saw the film, but it definitely struck me as odd this time around.  My only thought was that not only had Rey lost Han (a strong father figure) but her friend Finn had also been seriously wounded.  With Leia being a force user and very empathetic she knew Rey's feeling were more raw.  Pure conjecture of course. :shrug:

One of the deleted scenes was of Rey being told that Finn was going to be OK.  Now, was it cut for timing (my guess TBH) or was it because he's not going to be OK?

I asked the same thing when I saw it.

Maybe Chewie is still upset about that "walking carpet" comment and now that Han is dead he doesn't have to pretend to like Leia anymore?

That one really bothered me- I mean they both just lost someone very important to them, they get together and don't even acknowledge each other when they are together again, choosing instead to follow people they just met?

I won't say it ruined the film, but it did detract a bit from it for me.

JJ Abrams has this to say about it:
“That was probably one of the mistakes I made in that. My thinking at the time was that Chewbacca, despite the pain he was feeling, was focused on trying to save Finn and getting him taken care of. So I tried to have Chewbacca go off with him and focus on Rey, and then have Rey find Leia and Leia find Rey. The idea being that both of them being strong with the Force and never having met, would know about each other — that Leia would have been told about her beyond what we saw onscreen and Rey of course would have learned about Leia. And that reunion would be a meeting and a reunion all in one, and a sort of commiseration of their mutual loss.”

Hmm, massive oversight really given they've lost probably the most significant person in their lives.

Well, it was never claimed that Han Solo was human, maybe he is a Maiar and comes back as Han Solo the White
