On rare occasions Amazon reviews can be quite good. This one for the Waiter is excellent and comprehensive. It even references multitool.org :tu:

Hey man... thanks!

My brothers Waiter.
He told me this is his first SAK. It has seen a lot of action playing in the woods.
And I could tell. The blade's tip was bent, the combo tool was bent. And the edge... was as good as gone. The straight part of the edge had a slight convex curve to it. As far as I know Victorinox has no recurve blades on the Waiter...

Victorinox Waiter

I like how he kept the box and booklet. He now keeps it in his desk drawer, but still uses it.
I think he got this SAK in 1995/96. These things are really lifetime tools.

Now that it is winter and I'm wearing a coat when I leave, I've been regularly carrying a KF4 in a jacket pocket, which means that I really only need a SAK for the SAKish items like the thin blade, corkscrew, bottle/can opener, tweezers and toothpick, which means that the Waiter is the perfect fit. So now I'm re-appreciating the Waiter :tu:

Also during the holiday season I am quite likely to need the corkscrew to open a bottle of wine and will definitely be using the cap lifter to open a beer or two :drink:
