My trusty Hiker; used it to re-shape/sharpen a pencil after my puppy somehow secretly nicked it off the bench and I found him in the garden chewing away on it!!

Is it just me or does those liners not look like the usual aluminum? Old model or something?

Went with the Alox Pioneer and Explorer again today.  The Pioneer is redundant really, but I love the awl, and the whole SAK overall.

i have been rocking my older red Pioneer with the older cross and the brass liners.

it is quickly becoming my fav SAK.

I used to think the inline phillips was my fav tool but I'm actually leaning towards the alox awl now.

Oh, I did, on another thread.

  And opened...   :D

I should add, it is a feather-weight knife. So sleek, sexy, black, super slim, and cannot even feel it in a pocket. The split ring got beat up already, the dark material does not appear to be the same as the knife is. So want to obtain a smaller diameter lanyard for her, preferably with a small clip on the other end to attach to a key holder.

Here's a photo outside on the veranda, setting on top of my Akubra.    :D

  She's one sexy knife!

Laying out my gear for the morning before I head off to bed.
Think I'll take the "Double-Recruit Plus" tomorrow.
