Pioneer and Explorer again :tu:  Will probably eventually switch the Explorer out for the Compact to reduce bulk, but I can't seem to put the Explorer away yet :D  If I were to get a suspension clip for it, that would make me more likely to keep carrying it along with the Pioneer, but there is a fair amount of redundancy between them to justify the Explorer's bulk.  The Compact is functionally the same, but misses the mag/phillips layer, which is why I reeeaaallllyy want a Yeoman :)

Why not a Climber until you get a Yeoman? Then you at least have the can opener for philips screws. Works really well too. :)

Have you tried anything like these off a belt or belt loop, cheaper than a 20.00 dollar clip.

That's a really smooth solution, it's what I use whenever I carry a knife with more than two or three layers. As long as you make sure the lanyard is short enough to not allow the knife to hit the bottom of the pocket you hardly notice it hanging there.  8)

I carry my Explorer with the clip daily and found that it is the best way to carry it.  I would leave the Pioneer at home cause you dont need it when you have the Explorer or carry it when you dont want to carry the Explorer. :D

I had considered that, but I really like having the mag/phillips layer (magnifier in particular :D) and the Yeoman would be about as close to a perfect (for me) SAK as I could get.  I already have a Compact, and the Explorer, so I am looking to eventually have them mated to make a Yeoman.  I just have to have the spare cash.  That would actually also yield a left over Climber ;)

I also would really like scissors added to my Alox Pioneer, but that is a pricey job.  I could actually sacrifice the left over Explorer scissors to add to the Pioneer.  So all together, that would give me a Yeoman, Spartan and an Urban Pioneer I think is what I've seen it called here.  However, I need to save up some cash for all this work to be done, and that's not very easy for me right now.  I just need to be patient :ahhh

And congrats on becoming a Hero member :salute:

I haven't tried that, and it looks like handy method.  I would probably have to have a black one so as not to stand out considering I work at a bank and have to dress semi-nice ::)  However, I may be able to find something to work with to make a loop like that, whereas I would have to buy a clip.  Thanks for the suggestion :salute: :tu:

I would leave one at home, but I enjoy having two SAKs on me so I have multiple fiddling options :D

Thanks!

It was part of a limited Victorinox run in 2011.  I think they were released in the US only.  Mammoth Tusk Vic Executive.  There's a "club" in the swiss forum.  :D
