Thanks WS. Needs a different suspension clip. This set up is too rigid for jeans EDC. Will look at setting up something like I use for my work pants, just shorter.

Swisschamp, I am going on a few day vacation to The North Shore so I figured it should cover my bases!

Moving up a layer to a Climber today. Shorter lanyard for jeans.  :tu:

Thanks ‘83.  :hatsoff:

Moving up again to 5-layer Ranger today as I’m doing a little subjective EDC testing across the sizes.  But I have to build a new suspension clip setup for jeans.  This one the right length, but too rigid and no swivel. Prefer a chain/swivel setup.

I’m hopelessly smitten. The Warthog SwissChamp is too cool to leave on my dresser. It must be carried.

Ever since you posted those beauties Buzz, I’ve had the DLT website open...even added one to the cart to check shipping cost to South Africa. They do say “Not available for shipping outside of the US.” in the description, so not sure they’d accept the order if I committed. Anyway, in the meantime we can drool over your examples! Great pic btw.  :like:

“...one, two, three-four-five...”

6-layers today. As much as I enjoy wearing jeans over the weekend, the pockets are not as generous as my suit-type work pants, and the shorter clip needed for the smaller jeans pockets does not work nearly as well as the chain/swivel setup.

The Handyman is largely overlooked being so close to the ever-popular SwissChamp...but it’s quite a little powerhouse with all the SwissChamp’s 5 back tools, and just missing the plus scales, fish scaler, magnifier and inline Phillips. I think I’ll enjoy carrying this today.

I like the Craftsman/Handyman myself. As opposed to being "gadgety" like a SwissChamp, it's more a get the job done kind of tool. It's laid out with the tool selection seen commonly on many MT models, but in SAK format.

Thanks WS. Here’s a better pic. Quite a lump to suspend on the belt, but it carries OK about halfway down the pocket when upright, but pulls the pocket a little sideways when seated. Not an easy fix other than switching to belt pouch or suspending directly off the belt (which could work but will expose the SAK). CyberTool slightly heavier and wider than the SwissChamp, even though it’s a layer less. I’m approaching the end of my journey “through the layers”, which has turned out to be very useful.  :tu:

it to work properly for carrying in your pocket  :tu:

I think length is OK. Any longer and it will press the bottom of the pocket when upright. I’m being a little overly critical when sitting, Like having anything in your pocket (mobile, keys, etc), it pulls in a different direction as you sit down. At +300g the CyberTool is noticeable as the weight comes off the belt when sitting down. But maybe I need to try a longer length so it does touch the bottom of the pocket, so the weight transfer is less noticeable when sitting down. Some experimentation needed...
