Great combo eTripper  :like: :tu:

Thanks, Ws.  I'm trying to up-my-game, on the photos.  What else do I have to do, in between fixing ceiling-fans?  :D ???

I'm experimenting with the feasibility of stepping down a few layers on my EDC. It's not a big deal yet, but I see the upcoming hot weather of summer driving me to a lighter weight EDC.

The Warthog SwissChamp is waiting in his sheath, should the need arise. But my worn old Explorer is my main carry today. The 13th printing of the Boy Scouts of America Scout Field Book is a wonderful guide to old school outdoor adventure.

I was all going so well until lunchtime, when a coworker showed up with a jar of moonshine pickles. I had to pull out the fish scaler tool on my SwissChamp to spear a pickle.

I'm the one guy on Earth who needs to EDC the fish scaler layer.

Yeah - I’ve debated stripping out the scaler but the day you need it...and once you find a good carry method, the SC really is not so bad.

And it's got a ruler on it, and is a good pokey thing for when you don't want to use a sharpened implement like the blade or saw (or file). I ended up settling for a Marlboro Outdoorsman since Woodsmans are so expensive; yet Outdoorsmans often so cheap since no one wants the Marlboro logo. Sometimes, you get stuck with the scaler whether you want it or not.

Outrider "Bosch". It's taken most of the pocket time away from my Fireman. In a lot of ways, for non-woods use, the scissors and 0/1 Phillips screwdriver are handier than the belt cutter. Some redundancy, but the ST300 does not have a long saw, a decent can or bottle opener, scissors, a corkscrew, or the smaller screwdrivers the Outrider inline Phillips and removable mini-driver offer. And besides, I like a big blade I can close one-handed, and I'm left-handed limiting me to pretty much Vics.

I know... in the summer I like an Executive or Spartan.  Maybe the Climber for the scizzors! I'll try my new Explorer but.....

Yeah. I'm kind of infatuated with this knife now. As much as I love my Warthog, I keep wishing I was carrying the SwissTank. The pocket worn looking OD G-10 just looks so cool.

I have plans for this weekend, to re-do my red G-10 scales with the same finish, and see if they come out as nice.
