I actually ran out of the house not carrying a SAK this morning!  :ahhh  Didn't realize it until I needed scissors.  Fortunately my Executive was in the same spot it always is, right front pocket on my keys.  :tu:

Good lord Tom you better be more careful!

I have been carrying my Explorer plus lately.  Its an amazing EDC SAK.  Most everything I run across can be handled with the explorer alone.

I have empty pockets the last couple of days, after rotation of most of my SAKs. It is very rare not to have my XLT in the bag and there's no way I leave behind my keyring Minichamp anyway.
By the way, I found out that it is relatively easy to pocket carry a big SAK, Swisschamp to Swisschamp XLT (or Cybertool 50) using the Victorinox Stainless Steel Beltclip and a Niteizzy Sbiner. It stands vertical in the pocket and makes you extremely popular with ladies. But the knives collect some fluff from the fabric, so I still prefer the leather pouch. But it is nice to have options.

Victorinox Spartan Lite.

This is one of my favorite 3-layer SAKs. I don't miss the scissors as much as I thought I would, as a razor sharp knife can do 90% of what a scissors can do.

The inline phillips is great. The LED makes it a great one to keep on the nightstand, as it's perfect for getting around a night without jamming one's pinky toe. Has the great openers/drivers. Has the utility blade (small) and food blade. (large) Transluscent scales give it a nice modern look. Price is fair. The only thing really missing is Plus scales:

I have been eyeing the explorer plus, however, it isn't sold in my country...
Also I have this fantasy of Explorer Plus Lite(I am a LED addict :D) but what will the LED share the layer with? Now, that gets resolved and one perfect SAK(for me) will be created... :gimme:

on the huntsman lite, the led shares a layer with the inline phillips -> http://www.victorinox.com/ch/product/Swiss-Army-Knives/Category/The-Original-Swiss-Army-Knives/The-Original-Swiss-Army-Knives-large-size-91-mm/Huntsman-Lite/1.7915.T

i own one and was thinking about removing the saw. also the opener layer could be dropped in favor of the combi tool (replaces the small blade). perfect for my needs.

On my Traveler Lite the Philips is in line with the Lite too.

I know that the LED shares the layer with a phillips on spartan lite and huntsman lite, however, the phillips on the Explorer shares the layer with the magnifier, therefore, the LED cannot share the layer with it. I want to have all three of them(LED, INLINE Phillips, magnifier) but how? On the worst occasion, a backspring Phillips... or an external light. I wonder if my Midnite Manager would work...

I like these, but I would rather have a mag/phillips layer in place of the saw.  Put that in there and this would be a definite EDC for me :tu:

That would killer, seems like Wenger only has mags in the larger layer knives. A in line Phillips sure be nice. I have a old explorer but it only comes out to play on special days . (Image removed from quote.)
