I truly am sick.
on: March 26, 2008, 10:25:33 PM
Just a few minutes ago I was bragging about the Farmer, but now, I'm transferring money to Paypal so I can buy a Fieldmaster from Felinevet. What is wrong with me and why can't I stop buying these red handled pieces of Swiss engineering that are as addicting as crack.

I've been bugging and fighting the wife for a week but I finally wore her down. Yay me!!!! :climber:

I think all of us are a bit sick here mate.  :)

We are what they call SAKAHOLICS even though we have enough to supply a small third world nation we have to buy more.

The stages progress also. 1) We encourage others and 2) Even introduce new people to our "SICKNESS"

There is hope though you have to choose ONE and forsake all the others. Just like marriage this usually ends in death.  :ahhh

What is the difference between the Huntsman and Fieldmaster? Is it like the Climber vs. Super Tinker? Which would be a corksrew instead of a philips!

Fieldmaster and Huntsman are both the same except ..... Fieldmaster has a Phillips, Hunstman has a Corkscrew. You can save some money buying used from Tim (felinevet) instead of new. I have purchased several used Vic's from him and they have always been in excellent condition.

What I can't figure out is why he keeps getting red ones. I mean, there's a whole rainbow of really cool colors out there, along with the glowy ones. DTH really needs to expand his horizons a bit more I think. That ought to get him going. Muwahahahahaha!

It is not a sickness I would consider it more of an intellectual quest for the ultimate in suitable pocket tool for the well prepared individual
(If it's a sickness I would come under pressure to cure it)

You are not sick! The problem is you are not wealthy. Nobody told Rockefeller when he was collecting art, " what do you need another picture for?". They would not dare.

Industrial art is certainly a legitimate form of art and SAKS are a classic example of the best. When art is combined with practicality then you have the highest form. Look what is happening with the Leatherman Skeletool.

Art for anyone is what makes you feel good every time you look at it, even though others can't see it. For some it's naked ladies, for others it's SAKS, or both. Art is all around us if you can see it.

To be a happy person also has real health benefits and you owe it to yourself, your family, and your friends on this forum to do that which makes you happy, within reason.

You are a real treasure on this forum with your wry humor and often wise comments.

Well I appreciate the comments. I'm not really an "artsy" guy. More of a practical guy, although ATM I am drinking peach wine out of a Winnie The Pooh wine glass. I feel urbanized and cultured....OK not really but I sure do like the wine.  :D :drink:

You did it again. You made me laugh. But surely the wine tasted better in a classic glass.
