NEW Swiss Tech Firearms Multi-Tool
on: January 14, 2016, 05:57:54 PM
Found this article where they talk about some new products to be unveiled at SHOT Show this year.

This new multi-function gun tool contains 4 driver bits, 2 Torx drivers, 2 Allen drivers, gun pin punch, sight wrench, castle nut wrench, flat screwdriver, bottle opener, knife, and LED flashlight. It even contains a fitting with a male thread connection for attaching cleaning rods.

Very interesting choice of tools. Definetly trying to look tailored to AR with the castle nut wrench muzzle break wrench. The only other multi to have a castle nut wrench is the Gerber ShortStack. Generally though these two wrench types are not field needed tools. But sometimes major repairs do happen away from the armors bench...
Adding prongs to the bit driver to double duty it as a front sight tool is a cool idea too

I might actually buy one of those if the quality is there.

Knowing their made in China quality, something is bound not to fit properly (too much chrome, no bite on the screw or hex drivers) or something is bound to bend or break eventually. I agree their products look good on paper but I regret spending what I did on them.

If my life depended on the tool I'd use to maintain my firearm, I'd rather use something else.

Multitasker and Real Avid make AR specific multitools that have castle nut wrenches, also. I think I'd rather have any of the other offerings before this.

I started a thread about that tool a month or two ago I believe. I know it's shot show, but it's been out for a while.

Unless I'm thinking of another tool?
