Date Stamp.?.
on: January 30, 2013, 02:38:46 AM
I just bought a user Wave, and noticed 1208 printed inside the handle. (Assuming it means December 2008) I've never noticed a date stamp or 'Birthday' on any of my other Multitools. Is this on all Leathermans, or just my Wave?

Leatherman started using date codes in 1192. There are some of the newer tools that do not have date codes.

The Skeletool never had date codes, I think the first Freestyles also didn't have it but it was later added. Also if I remember correctly the OHT doesn't come with a date code either. Never held one of these (the Leatherman appeal on that one is 0% for me) so I'm not sure.

Although, I vaguely recall the Leatherman guys telling Bob and Grant that they would consider adding datecodes to the Skeletool because we liked it :D Did that ever happen?
I used to come here a lot.

I think not. I'd have to dig through the Skeletool thread to confirm, or wait for Bob to pop in. :)
