They didn't say, but is that new necker in D2 a Remora, or a BK14?

I also really like that BK16...

I just got a set of scales and a TDI clip for my BK14, and I am absolutely in love with that little knife now!  I am amazed at how nice the scales make it!  It's the perfect small utility camp/bush knife now IMHO.

The D2 is a BK24 D'eskabar.. basically a bK14.

The remoras are 1/2 othe size of a bk11/14. Stock Photos on the internet don't really convey this. So i shamelessly stole someones comparisson shot via google.

I boght a Bk14 when they first where released and got rid of it almost instantly. Every reviewer of izula vs becker stated that this is the dream combination. I felt the handle didn't work right compared to the bk11 with that blade..

However since the handles have come along i have been wanting to have a second go at the carbon bk14, the D2 one however i can resist. I am at peace in that i never personally will be able to put a good edge on it.

Heinz Did you get the orange/black handle set or go with the esee micarta offering?

Thanks for the info.   :tu:  I'm very happy with my BK14 now that it has scales on the handle.  Before it was just okay, but now it's like finger-crack... I find myself constantly picking it up and fiddling with it...

I like it so much I'm planning on getting another so both of my outdoors packs will have one.  I figure since I got two pairs of scales, it'd be a shame to let the extra pair go to waste...

I'm not going to bother with the D2 version either, though... the 1095 has been fine for me so far, and I'd rather not have to deal with possibly needing to sharpen a D2 blade out in the woods...

The scales each came with a set of bolts! :)
