Here in the UK Vics importers Burton McCall dont sell the black Swisstool . Looks like the BO model is another U.S exclusive model although the Australian army are issued them .

I've seen quite a few SS ones but never a BO one, always far too expensive though!

They are quite common around here... I got mine in a small shop near the house, and i've seen at least four in the same place (never stay there for long).

I also remember that. The older swisstool pliers heads open MUCH wider than the newer ones. I also remember that Vic redesigned them for more strength when turning bolts.

The older pliers open wider then the newer ones plus their handle are closer together when the plier jaws are closed making the tool easier to grip .

I've seen BO Swisstools here (Philippines) with '98 plier heads.

How come all the BO Swisstools I've seen are the regular ones?  Are there no X or RS models in BO?

I don't think they made any X or RS models in BO, only the standard ones were.

My earliest Swisstool has no hard wire cutter . Theres also a slight difference to the pivots if you look really closely .
