I have a Swisstool, do I need a Spirit?

I did notice but no can do i'm afraid; i'm working that week (i work 7 night shifts) and all my holiday is all booked up so won't be able to make it, maybe next year

I'm back, well, i was back a while ago but i've had a busy week since then! Thought id pop in quickly! I have to say, the Swisstool is a brillient toolbox, its solid, did everything i threw at it and did it quickly, but the spirit is something else, its just so convinient, i had the swisstool in my pack, but i didnt even notice having the spirit on my belt, it was quicker to get out and did just as good a job, apart from lacking scissors!

Imo the answer to this thread is if you ever think 'i wish my swisstool was smaller,' ever struggle to fit it in a pocket or wish it was quicker to get out and use then yes you need the spirit

I've been EDC'ing it since i got it and its small enough to ne just as unobtrusive as a sak, whereas i couldnt carry the swisstool with me regularly, its just too big. Still glad i got both though as having the option of the more heavy duty tool is nice! (oh and i finally found a use for the serated blade - it cuts through rope wonderfully!)

You must realise the SURGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! isnt for everyone

While I dont disagree with you that its very good tool which can tear open a tank with its pliers and screw down railroad tracks with its drivers just sometimes a member comes along who wants something a little smaller . Even small enough to fit in your pocket sometimes , and a tool that can be picked up one handed

The word SURGE!!! is starting to appear more in the Swissforum then Victorinox

Maybe tone it down a bit
