Stove/Lantern
on: February 06, 2013, 04:54:30 PM
I was puttsing around on the comp today and found something very interesting, at least i think it is, i dont know why i never thought of it, but it makes scene, i looked around and couldnt find any info on any other ones that do the same, if they do, you have to take it apart and loose the light, which you would need to do the cooking? but this does both at the same time. any thoughts or know of any that do the same? Anyone have one and used it? JR

Nope, never seen anything quite like that.  I do have a generic hurricane lantern but no cooking option on mine.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Interesting. :tu:

I have a few of those old lanterns in the cellar. I think I may have to try converting one to this. Just for the heck of it. :D

Is it just me, or is the cooking pot a really really long way from the heat source

 :P

I reckon you might warm a tin of beans through in 20 mins or so, but I'd hate to try and actually cook anything with it  :-\

My thoughts exactly. That's why I said I'd test it with an old oil lamp. And the containers heated on that are rather small. Not even enough for a snack for me. :D
