"Scouting" Special edition Scout knife anyone?
on: February 07, 2013, 12:26:14 PM
I recently won a True Utility Multi which i will show in the Cheap and Cheerful corner once i did some pics.

I had to browse their website out of curiosity and stumbled upon a Sub-Brand called "Scouting" selling some differently branded True Utility Merchandise and some other products.

One of them being this knife:

http://www.scout-products.com/pocket-tools-store/Scout-Multi-Tool-Special-Edition.html

Which i find not only appealing in looks but also quite innovative as it adds a nice touch (blade exchanger) to a classic design.

Does anybody own one of those knifes? Maybe any Comparison shots with a SAK?

It even could be interesting Mod fodder for teh Alox crowd, i imagine.

So anybody with first hand experience? I´d liek to hear something about quality, fit and finish before i order for high shipping costs...

Someone posted this a while back, has anyone bought one?
I think the idea works well, I'm just concerned about quality issues.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

That´s my concern, too.
I imagined some of our brit members maybe had a brick and mortar shop nearby where you could have a look and feel of those knives and post their thoughts here.

Tosh, maybe you want to volunteer?!

If I knew who carried it I would. There is actually a scouts shop here in Sheffield and I do do quite a bit of odd-jobbing there. I'll ask next tme I'm down, unless ofcourse someone beats me to it and takes the plunge and buys one.....AL  :pok: :pok: ;)

Must say tho' it does look very interesting. Brass liners too!!
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.
