I like 'em like that.  Seems folks are less worried when they see a red Victorinox coming out of a pocket.
Agreed,  starting to feel the same way about StayGlo

I'd like one, but no local shops sell it, so I was either going to get one on Amazon or second hand and replace the scales/customize it a tad.

We don't seem to get a lot of Stayglo this side of the pond which is a real pity  :tu:

Thanks Dan. It's a Tilley hemp and, as they all do, it's faded to a pleasing pinky brown which is quite unlike the underside of the brim (which is proper brown). It's a great hat though and the wide brim keeps the sun off well though it can flap a bit when the wind gets up

Very impressed! Wish I had threaded pivots - but I do ok with premium for the moment. But screws looks so much better!

Well I can say this. I like the threaded pivots because i can easily take it apart and tweek something....but the threaded pivot mod isn't as easy as it looks. This was alot of work.

My Explorer is with Victorinox for a spa treatment. I'm curious how it will come back.

This week I became a proud Explorer owner too, what's more, I got two of them in the span of three days. One is a brand new piece with white Plus scales, and the other one is a flea market find from today, which came out very-very nice after some TLC.

I picked up a second Explorer for myself.  It has the grey magnifier, grooved corkscrew, no hook version.  Its well used and needed a good soak but its ready for duty.  The issue are the bottle opener is slightly bent, the small blade was missing its tip, no T&T but, and no key ring split ring.  None of those things made any difference as the guy only wanted $2 .
