Got this inbound. Older model so will probably need some TLC.  :D

I may change the blades as I’ve got some NOS period ones with the crossbow logo. Will see...

I got one a couple weeks ago that I thought was going to be a modder knife, from the seller's description, but just needed cleaned up.  $15 US for an Explorer seemed good to me!

Wow that is a good price. Even used ones here fetch around $30 equivalent.  :tu:

I was able to get my work to order custom SAK's to give away at a customer appreciation event.  We ordered tinkers and our company logo was inlaid in metal on the scales, they turned out sweet!  :woohoo:

I removed the scales on one of the tinkers and put them on a newly acquired Explorer.  I love it!

Just wanted to share.

Totally agree. Have only had mine about 3 months and have used every tool at least once.

Finally time to pst pics of my trio.  Neat observations of them.  My Ruby scaled one has plastic mag glass housing and lens, my no hook plus scaled one ( yellow lanyard ) has the darker grey housing an glass lens, and my newest one no hook no lanyard has a lighter grey housing and glass lens.

My ruby one and newest one both have the tools in the same order while my yellow lanyard one is different.

Ruby and newest one have the openers, mag glass/phillips, scissors, blades.
Plus scaled one has openers, scissors, mag glass/phillips, blades.

Its one of my favorites in 91mm.  I've tried others yet I keep coming back to the Explorer.  The yellow lanyard one is my beater.  I am not afraid to go hard with it.  My ruby is one I work but no where near the other.  My newest will be set aside just in case I my beater gives up.

Nice pic and trio!

As you know, the Explorer has been my fav for quite some time now and I too keep trying others but always come back to the Explorer!  It is just hard to beat the tool set.

Looking good Aloha!  Hard to beat an Explorer.  That Philips head screwdriver is so handy.
