Old Pocket knife (1900) with scales of silver
on: February 09, 2013, 12:18:17 PM
A friend of mine, who has an awesome collection of old stuff (bajonets, medals, ribbons, ...) has bought an old Belgian pocket knife, it's build around 1900 by a Belgian manufacturer called Piérard located in the city of Gembloux.

The scales are made of Silver (my friend had it tested in a jewelry store) and show a picture of King Leopold II (the Belgian King at that time) and his successor King Albert I (still Prince at that time).

Anyone know something more about these kind of knives or this manufacturer ?

I don't, but it's a nice knife you got there. Not to carry around but a nice display piece and conversation starter. :D
