Wave Clip Question
on: February 15, 2013, 08:04:04 PM
For some reason, I had to have been one of the few members here who didn't own a Wave.   Thanks to Nelly1974 that was taken care of this morning.  :D  He had attached the pocket clip to it, which I do like.  However..... Will the clip fit on in a way to make it a bit more lefty-friendly getting to the plain edge blade, or am I stuck?

As far as I know it only fits in one way.

Non wave owner here however I EDC a Charge Ti and I am left handed.

I removed the fixed lanyard ring and use that slot for the pocket clip. On the PE handle I use the quick release lanyard ring. When fishing this allows pocket carry, then when in use keeping it tied in while being able to use both the pliers and scissors at the same time.

(old pic from got paracord)

As your clip is now you should be able to push the PE up a little with your index finger then finish it off with your thumb. I don't find deployment that bad and can get either blade open without having to rotate or roll the MT over like most righties do.

I did the same as above, mainly for using both attachments. As for opening left handed I personally hold the tool upside down, as I find it much faster to open just using my thumb.

Hmm... If you have the special torx-bits, wouldn't it be relatively simple to swap the knives and file/saw, so the knife blades are lefty-OHO? Just guessing here...

Edit: They do look pretty symmetrical to me...

I am a lefty Ti owner too; kind of found a way to swing the blades out from underneath... so far, still have all my fingers! :D

Nice lanyard BTW :tu:

I'm gonna have to fiddle with it a bit and see how using it as is works out.  I carry right handed OHO knives all the time, and I'm so used to them that at times one of the few lefty blades I have find themselves reversed as I go to open them.  Force of habit.  Thanks for the answers guys and girl!
