Swisschamp owners club
on: February 15, 2013, 07:35:37 PM
Yep me and another club   :D since getting the swisschamp from taxi Dad (Michael ) I've carried it pretty much daily,it's a very handy SAK and i've been carrying it in the vic pouch with the solitaire I also kindly got from Michael  I also sometimes use a chain with a home made dangler for pocket carry, fantastic sak that needs a club of its own  :salute:

A SwissChamp is a SAK that everyone should have.  Lots and lots of fiddle factor and still (just about) practical to use all the tools. :D  Lets be honest, it's the SAK that every child dreams about owning, right?

Mine's an early one.  :)  Grooved corkscrew, scissors have a screw, old mag glass, no hook.

Well, I'm in with:

A Supertimer (SwissChamp with Timekeeper scales)

SwissChamp XLT (No picture  :()

And a SwissChamp XAVT

I do think the Cybertool 41 should be a member of this club too.  It really is the modern SwissChamp.

My favorite SAK for edc in my free time, a bit too bulky to carry around at work ... (so there I carry my Huntsman).

Swiss champs!  I do love them.  I debate about removing the fish scaler, as its basically a ruler for me only.. but I leave it.  The only thing I dont use is the mag glass and Id love to swap that out for the wenger universal wrench.

Swisschamp EDC for over a quarter of a century. 4 specimens, one after another. Currently one older type of mag and file with new sapphire scales and one ruby scaled XLT with my wife's name on it.
Swisschamp is the King! XLT the Emperor! And XAVT is... well, something even mightier. The Emperor's wife perhaps? :)

I'm definately in! My SwissChamp is carried in my computer bag daily and gets used very often - so often in fact my co-workers are always asking to borrow my "McGyver knife" :climber: :sak:

Same series of events for me. Got mine right before the mag glass switchover.

Well, I've been a proud member and owner of an old school, red Swiss Champ since about 1989 :D

Still got it, but don't really use it much these days... always wanted one and was extremely extremely excited to get it for my birthday that year. It's got a lot of wear and the scales are a bit knackered, but it's mine :dd:

Also have a XAVT but I don't think that's really what we're talking about here ;)

Also, I would never beat mine up... one of the few things around here you could actually call a shelf queen ::)

I have used mine a fair bit.  Mostly the watchcase opener and bit drivers.  But yes, it's not going down to the barn to change a plugged fuel filter on the tractor.
