 It was a birthday present from my wife and daughter so I like to keep it close. I plan on modding it to a Swiss SuperChamp as soon as my parts arrive  :ahhh

I just got a leather pouch I ordered for horizontal belt carry of my SC, made by a local leather shop for $7.50. The design is not perfectly cut, the leather is soft but seem study enough. I have mixed feelings about the result but it feels my SC won't accidentally fall off when I carry it. This now enables me to make the SC part of my daily carry, together with Super Tinker (in pocket caddy) and Leatherman Charge (in a bag)

Nice, I have a similar sized flip phone holster from a long time ago similarily sized. I'll have to try that out. I think my 4oz Pepper Spray can holster could do it too, that one is vertical tho.
Bought a $2 phone pouch a few weeks ago but the quality is so flimsy that I'm afraid my SC will fall off without me noticing it. I contemplated putting a chain but deemed it cumbersome. So I had one made.

How do you carry your SC these days?

I carry my SwissChamp in the pocket watch pocket aka 5th pocket of my jeans  :D It slips in nicely and still has a little extra room. I have it in the pocket all day and don't notice it until I need it :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

All this talk of Swiss Champs had me curious as to how many I have collected so I decided to do some SAK reorganizing to group like SAKs.  It turns out that I have 11, one of which is a SuperTimer. I don't have a decent photo handy but am attaching a thumbnail picture.

Nice. I wonder if you can find the electronic 91mm scales like the XAVT has and buy them. That would be fun to put on the SwissChamp  :D

It would be great if that was the case! There are other SAKs like the Traveller Lite, Voyager Lite & Altimeter Plus that have the electronic scales but I don't see any mechanism for replacement other than the Victorinox lifetime warranty. The Timer and SuperTimer are other examples of major scale functionality and I don't think that there are replacement scales available (otherwise, collectors could make their own Timers and SuperTimers): https://smartknives.com/Victorinox-Standard-Knives/SuperTimer.htm

Ah that's right my bad. I forgot it was to integrated into the knife itself. I remember now because I was thinking before if you could just put regular solid red plus scales on the XAVT too look like a regular champ. Would love to see a regular full rez of your super timer some time. That's pretty cool, love analog watches.

Just checking in here.

The scales have changed, but this is my same beloved SC gifted to me by my wife a few years ago (even has my initials on the blade!) :D

Thanks, and that's my Pioneer X next to it.

I've been drooling over the prospect of an XLT... It has every single implement I desire on it, and just a few layers more than the classic SC.

Are those of you who own an XLT happy with it?

I too would absolutely love an XLT.  Pruner blade, electric wire scraper blade, cockroach flicking spatula/drink mixer. I would use them a lot. I do wish it had regular solid red scales though but that's just an aesthetic thing and can always be swapped out. Oh and the bit driver too, with some of the odd little electronics and radios i tinker with that's always useful.

Cheers Baz - the rest of the crew were hovering over by the escape pod because usually at some point during the rehearsal some bolts blow under the pressure of the heaviness of the toonz. Didn't happen this time so they just looked like a bunch of cowardly pigeons.

Yesterday, I used my SC to fix a stubborn spare bedroom door which just didn't want to catch.

I am super impressed with the strength of its pliers, which I used to bend the catch plate parts into better position. I have used them many times before but never exerted this amount of force.

One of the screws was a bugger and required a good deal of umph to turn. No problem for this Phillips- which did not waver, twist or strip in any way  :tu:

The chisel has quickly become one of my most valued tools. Upon completion of the door project, a brief trip over the fine DMT brought it to razor sharpness.

It was amazing that they were able to put pliers in compactly on a nice pocket knife, even more amazing how strong it is. I have seen pics here of people bending some metal sheets before.

I was messing around last night and found the chisel also pops a chestnut open pretty quick as well.

I actually replaced a toolkit in my bedroom desk with the champ xlt. Takes up 1/8th the space as the toolkit. :) Works great on a lot of stuff!

Keep an eye out on ebay. I see pre-owned champs for good prices sometimes in good condition. Ya never know what you'll find. I got my Vic Spirit for $52 in near mint condition, because it was mis-titled.  :)

The new ones aren't too badly priced either. Around $170 to 180 new from Switzerland and russia. Much better than amazon and a lot of other stores.

I just got hold of a Hunstman that I was looking forward to for days. Then when I got it, I realized how the 3-layer Super Tinker is a much better partner in the pocket to my SwissChamp on my belt, since the Huntsman is 4 layers and if ever I'll need a saw I have the SC with me.

I'm curious to know what other SAK(s) do you pair with your SCs?
