What are your 10 favorite tools?
on: February 18, 2013, 02:32:43 PM
I'm curious which tools from Vic or Wenger you adore and/or use the most.

My 10 favs are:

1. Large blade from the standard Ranger

2. Small blade from the Executive

3. Inline reamer from the Pioneer

4. Needlenoose pliers from the Spirit

5. Nailfile with "rounded" tip from the smooth Alox Executive

6. Locking screwdrivers from Wenger

7. Fine flathead screwdriver from the Technician

8. Large woodsaw from the 111mm

9. Phillips/combotool from the 58mm

10. Chisel/combotool from the Swisstool

Hi all:
In order to importance (all 91 mm Vic models):

1. Large blade (thats surprised  :D)
2. Can opener - still very useful tool in atomic age of food covers
3. Pliers (Yes - very useful for technician, it is like more robust tweezer)
4. Scissors
5. Cap lifter like srew´er carrier
6. Pen
7. Small blade as emergency super-sharp item
8. Wood saw
9. Phillips (it does´t matter if "T" mounted or in-line)
10. Back reamer

All with 91mm Vics...

In no particular order.

Large Blade
Small Blade
Wood Saw
Metal File
Scissors
Bottle Opener
Can Opener
Corkscrew
Reamer
Any tool that will allow me to do the job I need done at that exact moment.
If you can't fix it with duct tape, a hammer, a screwdriver, bailing wire, zipties, or a Swiss Army Knife, it's broken and irreparable.

Vics-

1. 91mm small blade
2. 91mm scissors
3. 91mm caplifter/SD
4. 93mm large blade
5. 91/111mm pliers
6. 91mm corkscrew
7. 91mm awl
8. 91mm caplifter/phillips
9. 93mm marlinspike
10. 91/93mm pruner blade

With top 3 being my most used, and the other 7 just favorites (due to engineering or asthetics).

Not much experience with Wengers, but just got my first one, so maybe some tool will reach top 10.

Fish scaler is a great tool. You just need to use your imagination. Not in my top ten list but I don't mind having it in a Swisschamp. It is the perfect blade to magnetize and fish screws and pins from tight places.
