A visit to Victorinox
on: April 01, 2008, 08:51:40 PM

Had a house call which took me past The Victorinox Swiss Brands headquarters in Monroe CT. today, and decided to stop in.

This is a new building in a new industrial park. The grounds must be 50 acres in size. Enormous building and parking lot. Hard to see why they needed so much room. Parking lot was very crowded. There must be 100 employees or more. I don't think they manufacture here but they might case watches and they do repairs here. No retail but they had a showroom with knives and watches on display. See the pictures.

If you could get me an intro I would be happy to give a report for this forum or SOSAK. Would love to see the repair section and take pictures.

Unfortunately all I saw was a receptionist and the show room. Very imposing place. Perhaps I could wangle a better visit by contacting them.

No retail

That might be a good thing otherwise you could go broke in a hurry.

Thanks for the pictures.

Yes, thanks Kent!

The breakdown display is really cool. It would be neat as a framed display piece on my den wall. :)

Talk to Scibeer- I'm sure he could arrange for the parts.  It would be easier/cheaper to frame it at your end rather than ship the whole monstrosity!

Now that I think about it, I may do that myself!

:D
