The Beverage Entry Tool B.E.T.
on: February 08, 2013, 05:27:42 AM
I'm on a hunt this weekend with a non-profit group that takes wounded vets hunting. We got a swag bag with a bunch of goodies that included this little guy, the Beverage Entry Tool. I've never seen one of these but it is a twist opener and a cap lifter. Pretty cool to me and oh yeah, I also got a Surefire G2X Pro tactical light as well along with the hat, hearing protection, a travel mug etc. Here's a couple of images

Which organization is it? I support one of those groups every year at SHOT.  I'll post a pic of the knife I usually get when I get home if I can find it. I think I like yours better!  :D

I read vets and had the picture of a Veterinarian that got injured by an angry dog or bull.....
Then I realised that that did not make much sense...

The Honored American Veterans Afield like the B.E.T. says. I wasn't sure about putting on here who they were or anything like that. They go to SHOT every year and the guy that does all this, his name is Heath Gunns. He said he can't stand going to SHOT btw because he ends up sick every time.

I know that feeling- two SHOTs ago everyone I knew who had gone (including me) came home with the worst flu I've had in years.  I got quite ill on the plane and was trying to hold it in, but twenty minutes before we landed in Montreal I couldn't wait any longer and bolted for the lavatory for the first of many unpleasant incidents.   :ahhh

HAVA is the organization I was thinking about.  I found the S&W knife I bought from them a few years ago.  It's a horrid little knife but a worthy cause that I was proud to support.  Usually I just give them money and either don't take the knife, give it to someone else or give it away on the site, but since it's a S&W (aka Taylor) I hate to give it to anyone who may accidentally try and use it.   ::)

Oh yeah, and I had originally read this on my phone at work this morning and couldn't actually see what was written on the tool.  :D

That's a cute gadget for sure, and for a good cause too. From what I'm told LaRue Tactical has a great reputation for quality. :salute:

I got back late y'day and I'm catching up on posts. The guys at the hunt talked LaRue up pretty good. I'm not into tactical stuff like I use to be so I'm not sure. I still haven't got the chance to use it yet but I'll put images up when I do.
