One of my favorite Vic knives is the 108mm real stag hunter.
With some sandpaper you can make a faux stag hunter look like american elk. It looks and feels good, in my opinion.

another old GAK,
this got the saw shield on, still no file-field, however if you look on the mainblade on this one see what is not rare to find, its been sharpened with a electrical grinder or smergel, this is not good for the temper on the steel :) i have restored such a damaged blade before and to my surprise it was usable :)

I have a Mil-Tek GAK and a Vic Solo.  The Solo I do carry sometimes, but it's not a regular part of my gear.

yes i have seen and read some on this, it is interesting, could you tell me:
- does the plier have any play
- is it ergonomic comfortable
- what is the cutting ability on the wirecutter,
an army tool - it is probarbly designed for many spooky tasks :tu:

The tool is well designed but the execution is terrible. The ergonomics are good but there is quite some play in the pliers which hinders the wire cutting ability. I should probably re-peen all the pins to fix the play in the tools (the peening appears to be made made. ) I tested the saw this summer in the big SAK and multitool saw test (posts throughout the Anyone edc a 108mm? thread) and I was very disappointed by it's performance. It looks like a cool tool on paper, but I wish a bit more attention would have been given to the fit an finish of the end product.

I only have 2 solo's at the moment but one feature I love is the vinyl slip case. Victorinox need to provide these with more of their knives.

Same old for me. Got in the meantime a Swiss Shark as well but did not take yet pics of him. Some of his earlier brothers pictured here. I am still looking for a 3 bladed +B custom and maybe a Walther and a Fireman if the chance will appear.

I recently acquired one sole and then, a month later, another one! Loved them. Very ergonomic and great blade. I must confess I found it a bit harder to sharpen than the regular 91mm blades. Is the steel different?
I got my second because I found out they ran out of production. I suppose two is enough for a life, right?? LOL One to use and the other as a back-up ;)
