5/16" to 5/64 pivot bolts

So when and why did SOG change the pivot bolts from a 5/16" hex head to a 5/64" Allen key? I'm changing some tools on my new Powerlock and it's a pain in the butt. These ones are lower profile but I wouldn't mind the hex heads at all just for the fact that changing them would be much easier.

I think at the end of last year, I remember someone mentioning they got a SOG Powerlock I think with a Allen key bolts a few months ago.
