Very nice!   I like how the scales you make have the rounded edges. It gives them much more of an elegant, classy look.  I think the rounded edges really suit the knives better when they have wooden scales.

Thank you very much :) I try to make all the edges as round as possible. Not only does it look better, it also feels better in hand

First Sak mod.  Put some Red Cedar scales on my Yeoman Mechanic.  I work in the forest and had been building a bridge out of an old cedar log (the size of it suggests it would have been 500+ years old when it fell).  I liked the look of the wood so hiked a piece out and made the scales.  Used a friends planer to bring them down to thickness, then shaped them with a knife and sandpaper.  They are held on with epoxy.  Haven't sealed/oiled them yet as undecided on what to use.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Nice work! I suggest boiled linseed oil or Danish oil, after which you'd need to sand the wood again with 800-1500-2000 grit because the grain will pop out slightly. Douse a clear cloth in the oil, apply it and leave it sitting for a few hours for it to soak in. Repeat this a few times to get the best color/texture, and then you can sand. After polishing I usually seal with beeswax, but an even better solution is carnauba wax if you have access to it. Good luck and please share the results
