I apologize for bumping this thread, but I think it's okay since it's the wood thread.
I have a wood scaled Victorinox in route, and the seller showed the toolset which are that of a Climber.  I looked and couldn't find wood scales for a Climber so I'm thinking it has a wood saw since Huntsman has variations made with wood scales.
Does anyone know what I have and/or the type of wood used?
Here are the seller's pics:

Whatever it is, it's really nice.
I wish Victorinox did make a wood-scaled Climber - I have too many Spartans to justify buying another in wood and a Huntsman is a saw too wide for my liking...

Thank you TP!  Maybe this is a Climber?  I should know by Tuesday or Wednesday.

From the top of my head (because I couldn´t find my old catalogs quickly enough):

Until about 10 years ago, Swisschamp, Climber and Huntsman were available with handle materials like wood, mother-of-pearl, and horn.
IIRC the wood was simply called hardwood.

I'll mark it as hardwood then, thanks RW!

Saw this thread in the middle of creating my first set. It is African mahogany and I’m thinking I’m going to finish it with mineral oil.
