I don't understand smurf what they are saying, but pics and drooling smilies speak louder then words!

Not much else I found so far, except the usual embellishments.

That's a cute little knife...I'm not sure whether to put it in my pocket and carry it around or put a bib on it, give it a bottle and read it a bedtime story  :P.

yeah, I think you'd have to be careful to only use it for EDC on days that you knew you would be home before its bedtime.

I like it! Kinda looks like a spyderco with a frame lock.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Yep a spyderinox.  It does have a certain appeal to it.  If I had a beater 111mm I wouldnt mind converting it.  It would be an ideal mod if you found one with a broken tip.

Ya I really want to try now.  The only thing Id do different is leave a little bit of metal on that lockback spring to have a lanyard hole.  That would make a neat little box and packing stuff breakdown tool for the shop.

Maybe you've heard about Arnaud Biessy on EDC forums or Opinel forums.

Reminds me of Fred Perrin.

Here they go, the rest follows via PM, syph:

Those are the better ones. They should make nice stubbies in more skillful hands than mine.

The only thing I can't figure out is how he rounded the scales in the back to fit with having the hollow part to show  ???

How well does that plastic respond to heating?  If it goes nicely soft without burning or something then a little careful work with a heatgun and some gentle molding with something like a wooden spoon could produce a closed end.

Thanks for the offer, but customs would steal it and send me a nasty letter because it's OHO.

So they open every single package?  Of all the knives Ive been sent Ive only ever had 2 boxes that were randomly inspected and arrived to me all taped up with custom inpected tape.  The contents were safe though as the only knives that are banned here are butterfly and switchblade.  Which is stupid really if you think about it.  A butterfly knife is slower and more awkward to open than an assisted opening, or a one handed open lock blade.

What if it was taken apart, would that be allowed?

So, Syph you need to make a fixed blade out of one of them knifes and send it over and send the rest in a different package as "spares"  ;)

They don't open everything, but I believe most packages get a visit to the X-ray.
Especially anything with "knife" on the customs declaration. Which is why I have asked a couple of sellers to put "Multitools" as the description. More to speed the process than to smuggle in a OHO WMD.

Not sure how a lone blade would fare...
Technically it's not a one-hand/flick/spring/gravity/telekinesis opening knife so by their own rules it's not a prohibited type of knife. Who knows.

I've already had one nasty letter from Customs and I don't know if they keep a record of that so I'm a bit hesitant to risk a second strike.
Why don't they go and fight some real crime... smurfs
