Blade, Combo tool, Scissors, Pliers.
Been done before?  Pix?
Thinking about buying an alox bantam or something & slapping em all together.

So I guess you're talking about 84mm, right?

What backspring do you want to use for the pliers? Not sure if 2 saw springs are thick enough.

Not a clue... I'm just a 58mm guy ;) Never opened up a larger version

Would it be easier starting w/ a 91?

Yes. A thousand times yes. :D
You just need to mix and match your desired tools. The 91mm tool range is huge.

84mm requires rare tools and/or a lot of grinding and fitting.

The only downside is that you can't use Alox scales because there are none in 91mm.

In 84mm, everything but the pliers. The 91mm scissors barely fit with some grinding at the pivot and a new pivot hole; the pliers are about 4-5mm longer than the scissors.  You'd likely have to cut them apart and shorten them quite a bit to fit 84mm. It's doable, but I would imagine very laborious. If you want pliers in a small form like the 84mm, Wenger is pretty much the only way to go.

In 91mm, it'll work. I would lay it out as blade/combo, pliers and scissors on the outer layer. If you want alox scales, you're crossing into Syph territory there.

As Rick's picture shows, if you want pliers in a 84mm, Wenger pliers would be easier to fit than the messing around with trying to get Vic pliers shoehorned in there.

And if you haven't thought of a name for your mod yet something like Voyageur-Mechanic or perhaps Voyageur-Deluxe would fit.

Eesh... and people say 54mm VICs are fiddly.

Just a pipe dream for now... May get around to making something like this at some point.  We'll see.
Thanks guys!  Appreciate the responses.

It's in the sticky same process as for the scissors. http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,41486.msg662232.html#msg662232
