Ill tell you what, Ill keep my eye open for for anything over your way, are you after that same thing? Cause if I remember correctly there's something over your way that I was after but they wouldn't send over here, but it didn't use a dremel, it uses a circular saw, jig saw, and router in a table to make a full size model. I could not find a source for anything like that over here... hell even the place I bought my Dremel no longer has any dremels!

Seeing as 2 brands have released that same case, there has to be more out there, and even some in Europe... looks like a made in China and licensed to whoever wants a run... maybe we should be sourcing and trying for a MTo group buy :P

Rather than spending HUGE bucks on a lathe attachment for my Dremel, I think I'd rather just buy a small lathe.  I have a full sized lathe that I have yet to set up (need to clean out the garage... again) but it's far too big for doing small things like pens and such.  I have often thought of giving pens a go, but if I did I'd probably get something like this:

It's a table that you can hook your power tools underneath In order to make them into a full size table tool, like a circular saw, into a table saw, here's a few pics, I ended up making my own, as for the one thats on the way to my door step, ill see if i can find any info on the manual,  JR

If she has the tool and you have the bits then you don't have much choice- you'll have to play nicely together.

Now now guys fight nice! i for the life of me couldn't find that exact bench i posted earlier, i downloaded those pics a good 8-9yrs ago, to keep the idea for the bench i built, a lot could have happened since then, but i did find something very close to it, the name kinda sounds familiar so who knows it might even be the same thing but updated? anyway, heres the link if interested, very interesting, especially if you have no room, and only have hand tools but want full size tools! I have had my Dremel for quite some time  . For the last year & a half I have thought it was about to die , it has trouble holding revs in the lower band , it tends to hunt a bit  . It has been a real trooper it still keeps going 8) 8)

With some of my accessories , I have lots of other bits neatly stored/dumped in a big box  ::) :D.

I do like the Flexi shaft.

Just quietly I think Dremels quality is slipping I am thinking of upgrading my stand with a bigger brick  :P :P :D :D

I had a closer look at my one's box , 5 year warranty is pretty good for a power tool  My one was made in Mexico , are they still made there  .

I would be keen to nab a Dremel 9000 Advantage , I think they are the most powerful/heavy duty units they have made but are discontinued  :(. I looked at buying a 9000 from the US but postage was NUTS + Dremel never replied to my email in which I asked them if it was safe to run a 9000 on Oz's 240 volt electricity  :( :(.

"Downunder Mod (that sounds dirty, doesn't it?)"
Yeh Baby :P >:D >:D
