I have to say that the Flik has become a firm feature in my EDC selection.  As I think I said in my review; it's not perfect, but there is something about it that I really like.

My buddy carries one religiously, uses it everyday at work. I got ahold of it yesterday and the driver bits were a complete pain to deploy, that might have been from neglect but I don't know if I would want to cart it around as EDC.

Still, looks and feels solid despite my complaints about the driver.  :tu:

I love the Flik. It drivers are a little short, but the rest is a great tool. Something about the blades I really like.

That would be my assessment as well. :)

If you pull back on the lock tabs then the short tools should lift slightly making them easy to get too.  If you do that then there is practically no resistance to opening the tools, so if they are still hard to open then it sounds like they are gummed up.

Makes sense, it could also be a user issue as I haven't played with that one a lot. Supposedly there is a Micro under the tree for me and that might be the good step in my MT enablement.

I had a Flik for awhile before selling it off.  I thought the build quality was good (unlike the MP1 which was sad for a tool with so much potential) but thought the saw would work better if it was thinner.  My biggest complaint was how bad the Gerber bit adapter worked with the tool.  In order to use it you have to hold it on unlike the mp400/mp600 it's magnet was not strong enough to hold on to the tiny Flik 2d phillips driver when in use.

Same here! Serrated blade and scissors are great! In my experience the serrated blade on the flik is much better than the one in the wave/charge.
