omg High Tower the "Learning" Center of the world and they don't know about kings dying, Maesters dying, houses changing, current leaders!

things Sam will learn: how to make Valarian steel, how to find and use dragon glass best, how they stopped the past white walkers and... how to stand up to his father! :salute:

It's still so weird to me that the book this is based on still isn't released or even finished being written.  Normally books come before the film adaptations.. normally...  He's taking his sweet time on this one.

Than again what series takes 20 years to write the first 5 volumes (A Dance with Dragons took 6 years to complete) and we are still two volumes until the end. Martin is slacking so bad... we'd have seen the series over the holodeck with frozen actor heads if they waited for him to finish the books.

I don't know what you guys have with Natalie Dormer.. she's not even that... ow... wait... ::)

Maybe it was just me, but the soundtrack to this episode seemed a bit disjointed from the usual fare. Also I think they got the order wrong in the scenes as after the earth-shattering kaboom everything else seemed less exciting. I guess it's all ground work for what's coming in 9 months or whenever the next season starts...

The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

Jon is the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen and not as he was previously thought to be (and punished for) – Ned Stark's smurf son.

She has aged a lot.. especially if you see her in 300.  Still a good looking woman though.

They were at Lesbos (considering the nature of GOT, the name sounds funnier than usual..)

As for this last (so far) episode... Brilliant!

Everything! From the musical score, to the closure of some situations, beginning of other plots, swerve in some characters attitude...

The initial music was so peaceful and ominous, so unlike anything we associate with GoT. It set the mood perfectly for what followed. The peace Cersei achieved and the somber destiny for the cultists (and her son, ultimately).

Did someone else noted the similarity between Tommen's death, caused by Cersei, and Brandon being thrown from the window, also because of Cersei?...

Tyrion coming full circle, from behind the Hand to being a slave to being the Hand again.

Remember Arya, the sweet innocent girl from the first episodes? Aaaand... it's gone!

Enjoyed the mythical reference to Medea?...

Must watch this again and again. I'm sure there are a lot more of these references and easter eggs around...

That's make-up... She was supposed to be a "cartoon" queen in 300, flawless and unreal.

In GoT, she's supposed to be a tormented woman, who has been tortured, humilliated and lost her childs. She's supposed to look like that.

I remember her in 300... I must say I like her better with longer hair.

I know they were in Lesbos. Time for πάρτι με ούζα? Some actors from the GOT cast even made a video to raise awaraness on the refugee issue but I've refrained from posting it.

Arya sweet innocent girl?

I must have watched a different show. I remember a wannabe young warrior girl who tormented her brother by outshooting him with a bow, and wanting to learn sword fighting. When the kong was coming to Winterfell for a visit, they had to snatch the helmet off Arya's head and tried to make her act more 'ladylike.'

At Kings Landing, Ned had Serrio give Arya 'dancing lessons' to appease her warrior girl leanings that were well known enough that her brother gave her the gift of Needle. A sword scaled down for her small size. I think the first season was filled with enough clues to hint at Arya becoming a serious player in the final fighting for the seven kingdoms. I think they were showing the viewers that a very hard substance was under a veneer in that girl. Now that she's become a very adept assassin, there's gonna be some real payback.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

Maybe she has gone such a dark path lately that I remember her as I said. You are right, she always was something of a Tomboy but I still think she saw all of that like kind of a game, one at which she was better than her brother. The passage from that being a game to being her reality was quite harsh.
