I tried not to watch it till the season was over but everybody kept talking about it, TV, media, people of FB, too many spoiler traps. :ahhh So I had to watch it.

lol it was a good episode :tu:

now...who done it?!

I'd guess the "fool", Ser Dontos Hollard, as he knew what was going on and came to Sansa to take her away right after.

OK, while we're waiting for the new episode, ...

Anyone else  about the constant re-castings of actors on the show?

Daario Naharis, the leader of the Second Sons is being played by a new actor since the beginning of this season, we're at actor number three playing The Mountain and there have been quite a few before that.

Even Shea looked somewhat different during the trial, I had to check IMDB and credits but they say it's still Sibel Kekilli.

So it's not only will the character get killed, even the actors playing them get swapped quite often. :-\

I noticed some of the swaps, but never realized the mountain was not the same guy the whole time.  I must not have been paying attention.  :D

I think the recasting problem is this: They cast darn good actors for very small roles. Since it's such a large ensemble cast, those actors in the smaller roles aren't really making enough to earn a living. So, they're out trying to find more full-time work, and when they DO, they have to bail on the GoT stuff.

That's my take.

Sounds about right... plus only 10 EPs a season, and chances are they appear in only about half of those if they're lucky.

I have avoided the thread since 'Mountain and the Viper' was released until I had a chance to watch the ep.

Not even the fight. Or not JUST the fight.

Arya finally gets the joke.
Our lil Sansa's in the game now! Wohoo!
Poor Jorah!
I can't be the only one thinking that maybe... JUUUUUST maybe, Ramsey isn't nearly in control of Reek as he thinks. I predict Bad Things in his future. Deliciously bad things. Hilariously bad things.
And... well... Tyrion's 'precarious situation'.

Maybe the best ep ever.

Sansa's "testimony" was AMAZING. :o

Arya's uncontrollable laughter might have been my favorite part of the whole episode. :D

I agree with you about Ramsey... I think killing all those soldiers after telling Reek he would let them live may end up being a tipping point in their relationship.

Poor Jorah? Eff that guy. I get that he fell in love with Daenarys, but at the end of the day, he's still a no-good rotten turncoat. I feel no pity for him, he dug his own grave. I do feel bad for Tyrion though.

Are you kidding me? Saying 'turncoat' in game of thrones is like saying "I'm smart enough not to die". Is Jaime a monster for killing a king he was sworn to protect, that was himself a monster? Is Tyrion a monster for breaking Shea's heart, hoping to save her from a terrible fate? Is Brienne a turncoat for her shifting allegiances? And how, exactly, is it morally wrong to change your allegiance when your former lords treated you like crap? You know... kicked you out of the kingdom? Uprooted and destroyed your life, took your lands... etc, etc, etc. I'm not saying he's sterling, but he's been crapped on undeservedly. And now repeatedly. YMMV

And, pfrsantos... you GET that the morally gray slate of the world is a major POINT of the series... right?

We have to take into account that this is a fantasy story. Still, a few centuries back, what this series shows was common practice around the "civilized" world (Europe, Asia, Africa). The moral frame varies with time. The measure for "good" or "bad" depends on many factors.

That said, I love GoT!

Oh. Sorry. Last time your post loaded, no pic of Hodor showed up. I thought you'd somehow actually thought there were no 'good' people in that world, and that you found it a problem. I missed your joke. Sorry.  :salute:

I get what you're saying, there is quite a bit of gray in this series. I'm more of a black and white kind of person. My favorite house is the Starks if that tells you something. Obviously I would suck at Game of Thrones. ;)

The story of Tyrion's cousin crushing beetles seems more pertinent by the time the credits roll, huh?
