Was the 10th Anniversary PST an actual release though? From what little people tell me, there weren't too many of them made.

Errrrrr.... OK - off the top of my head:

1993 - 10th Anniversary Gold PST (200 made(?))
2003 - 20th Anniversary Wave (Generally available)
2003 - 20th Anniversary Signature Wave (500 made)
2008 - 25th Anniversary Wave (Generally available)
2008 - 25th Anniversary Sterling Silver Charge
2009 - Damascus Wave

There may have been another 25th anniversary Charge, but I am too idle to go and look it up and I don't have one, so therefore it doesn't exist in my mind :P

I used to come here a lot.

There were indeed 200 made of the 10th anniversary PST :salute:

As regards the "other" 25th anniversary Charge, it was an AL model done for Costco, which simply had one of the handle inserts chem etched with a special logo.

I dunno if that one really seems timeline-worthy :-\

I know handles can be waiting in the bin to be used, but my PST II has fourth quarter '95 date code stampings.

Granted, I also have a NIB Mini Tool with handles born 11 months apart, so I guess it's not quite that weird. XD

How about a wikipedia timeline? I was working on one...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Leatherman_Multi-Tools

What do you think? Should we add this template into http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leatherman   ?
I think it's too big and has lots of blank spaces, but couldn't work around that.

If there are any sugestions, feel free to add them directly into the wiki page (or maybe in the discussion page?)

I would imagine that there might well be an S4 lying about. Either that or a new PS4 :D

I'd guess they'll still have them kicking around as well (if they can't repair your own one that is).  You can always get in touch and find out.  Alternative might be PS4 or maybe Style CS.

I guess a PS4 wouldn't be bad.  But the style cs...no thanks. (no offence)

None taken.  The PS4 seems a more likely alternative anyway, and I still think there is a good chance they'd have a S4 on the shelf or fix your one up anyway.

The scissors are so much better on the pliars spot IMHO.
Still I wouldn't be picky cus all the leatherman stuff I've seen is still awesome.

Nice overview, perhaps an idea to put pictures from the tools with it an put it in the FAQ section?

And was actually a half decent tool as well without having a stupid amout of flat headed screw drivers! (Gareth has set me off here!  :D )

Another big difference was that all the tools in the new Wave lock, unlike the original.

Can anyone tell me if Leathermans were first made in Japan? Today I seen a Leatherman PST with all the right markings that had made in Japan on it. The guy at the flea market wanted 250 dollars for it . Can anybody answer this puzzling situation? Prof. Gadget
