Power plier spare parts
on: April 07, 2013, 04:51:10 PM
Hi Guys
I have seen that you can buy replacement parts for the pocket plier. Is it no longer possible to buy spare parts for the Power plier? Or: will parts to the pocket plier also fit the power plier?

Best regards,
Jimbo  :salute:

Great! So I can actually costumize and replace with all the parts here:
http://www.sogknives.com/everyday-carry/accessories.html
 - even though they don't mention that the parts are compatible with the Pocket plier????

Thank you for the help! Nice forum we have here!

As far as I know, the only ones that arn't going to be any use are for the Power Assist.

Lockyer you don't have the Paratool, the blade needs to be shorter and the scissors don't fit.Mind you, with SOG scissors, its not much of a loss!

Is SOG the only company that make a multitool with replacement parts for sale?

Pretty much.

At some stage or another, somebody here has modded all the major tools, even the Victorinox ones! If your in the States you have eBay to get beaters to cannibalise, otherwise its grabbing bargains where you can.

Have a read through the mod squad, and prepare to

Lots of us love the Lego nature of SOGs,and have tools with custom tool loads.Any questions, shout them out!

Buttttt, on the HH site they list which tools the parts fit?

For example - http://www.heinnie.com/SOG-Multi-Tools/SOG-Accessories/Multi-Tool-Scissors/p-224-887-7788/

can these be fitted to PPP or paratool?

A new blade...
PM me with your preference (plain, 1/2 serrated or fully serrated knife blade) and snail mail address and I'll send you one gratis (several people on here have done me favours, so I like to "pay it forward" where I can.

NB The plain blades I have are all prominently labelled "HARLEY-DAVIDSON".

It was actually because of what HH wrote i asked. Would be nice if they would mention it on SOG's page and heinnie's.

Blade is in the mail and on its way to Jimbo.  The slight delay was because I was trying to find the tougher plastic envelopes I prefer, but couldn't find any at my usual suppliers so had to make do with a paper one with some extra reinforcing tape on the ends.

Let me know if it meets your needs once it arrives and you have installed it.
