My first quality knife was a SAK. I was 13 or so back then and have no idea what model it was. But it has all the goodies like knives, scissor, plier, saw etc. Unfortunately I lost it.  :(

For some reason it never occured to me I should buy another one, so for ten years I went on without a knife. A couple of months ago I saw NutSAK has a compact for sale, so I looked it up, nice, it got everything I need so I bought it. Then I thought, I need a back up, so comes a a climber plus from felinevet. That's two SAK in two months after ten years without one.

I have a wave and flik but wasn't satisfied with them, then I saw the one hand spirit thread. Wow this thing is damn well engineered, I gotta check it out. Well now I have one, wave is on backup duty and flik is going to a buddy cheap.

Now I have compact in my pocket and spirit on my belt, and I love them both.  :D

Since when does a man's pockets limit the number of knives he can own?  ??? :D

There is an old question.  "I wonder why a man with more knives then pockets will buy another pocket knife?"

Answer: because He can.   SAKs are just like potatoe chips there is no stopping at one. Just come with grips now that you have started something that will carry you away.    Example look at DEF.

I'm glad I could contribute to your affliction with that Compact!  It's good to see that it's enjoying its new home.

It's polished bare aluminum, and you can have one too with a can of oven cleaner, a dremel/benchgrinder, and some elbow grease.  :)

Should I do a spirit vs. wave like the flik vs. wave I did? Kinda doubt it's necessary since all of you probably have both already.

For those of you just tuning in, here's the Flik -vs- Wave comparison that jzmtl did recently:  http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,4153.0.html

I for one would be interested in seeing your Spirit -vs- Wave impressions sir!  :)
