Nice. Let us know how you like it. Remember, take your time while you smoke. Its not a marathon. Don't want it to get to hot. One thing I forgot to tell you before, when you finish smoking you pipe, do not hold it by the stem to knock out the ashes. It may brake the stem off. Hold it by the bowl or better yet use a knife or a pipetool to gently scrape out the ashes.

One of the most renown Pipe/Cigar and tobacco dealers happens to reside in Cologne.
I know him because my Dad smokes Pipes. It´s Pfeifen-Heinrichs (http://www.peterheinrichs.de/?sCoreId=fbba5de670c298629a37eb12afc89efa)
I wouldn´t support someone starting to smoke, but as you already are in the habit, i added a little something from his shop to your package.
Let me know how you like smoking pipes. Compared to Cigarettes (which my Grandpa smoked) i have to say i as a non smoker think they smell better.
And smoking Cigs always seems to me like it was done in urgency, while preparing and smoking a pipe always seemed to have something ritual and calming - My dad used to start his evening with a pipe or settled down with one on sundays, polishing his shoes or doing some small tinkering around the house or his stuff. So maybe my childhood memories blur my perception, but i do prefer Pipe over Cigarette smoke.

And btw. i learned how to stuff a good pipe and clean and prepare it about the age i got my first SAK i think.

I never had a corncob pipe, they are rare here. I find them very interesting. General McArthur made his own, using a SAK or something (a Camillus perhaps) I believe.

Nice Cob!
Back in the day a lot of farmers in the U.S. used to make there own corncob pipes. Some people still do, but not as much as they use too.

I should also mention that it's actually illegal to use shag tobacco for hand rolling purposes for the tax reasons
  :ahhh :ahhh
I have to ask. No-one commented on the Clan tobacco. It this tobacco that bad then? It was the one I settled on after Scandinavic and Amphora red. I don't like aromatics, I got fed up with them easily and even more so since I was a heavy smoker. I reckon I haven't tried any loose stuff. Those might be excellent.

@ Grumpy: As others have said it is essential that you take your time while smoking a pipe, sort of establish a flow, it burns you puff.
So...how do you like it?

I find Clan awful, except when it is very fresh (24h open bag). It burns very fast, produces much tar. Flying Dutcman is similar but much, much better.
I am allergic to Scandinavic, I get a sneezy reaction. That happens always with Black Aromatic and rarely with others. I like them though but I prefer the similar and overall better Sails (no allergy there).
I find Amphora to be a great tobacco, especially the Red one. It has a very nice cut, Navy style but ready rubbed. I love it's taste and aroma.

For foreigners; these are among the most popular tobaccos in Greece. Mostly because you find them in airports easily. British blends (non aromatic Virginia with a bit of Lattakia or other Oriental) are rare. So we are accustomed to Cavendish tobaccos.

And some nice pouch.

The main reason I had just 2 SAKs for 25 years was that I was smoking my money
