Midlands is always great for us :)

Only having one night sounds like a shame though, especially given the long journey some people (Gareth :D) have to make.

Actually Norfolk would be cool IMO, I've not been there since I was a kid.  The Buckinghamshire site is good as it's another one we have used before and, again, it's a private-ish area so they've never had an issue with the sharp and pointy stuff.  It's a heck of a long way away though.

Bucks is good for me and if there's a site you know then that's definitely worth a lot.

I really wish there were more folks (relatively) near me so we could have this kind of fun.  Other than Derek there aren't any MTO members for hundreds (if not thousands!) of miles.

It really surprises me there's not more people from the Maritimes on here.

A big meet up would be cool!

I dunno, the pickins are actually pretty sparse all the way across Canada.  I can only think of a dozen or so members from Canada, and not too many of them even post that much.

It is one of the nice things about living on a small, but densely populated, island.  There's not a corner of the country that I couldn't get to with a long days driving.  Though getting to Shetland can be a very long ferry ride. :)

So does that mean we Brits have the highest count of MTO members per geographical area ..... or just the most dense members?  :P  :D :D

The UK and Europe are a completely different world than NA- I was commenting to Whoey yesterday that in about twelve hours he could drive out of his country (Spain), across two others (France and Belgium) and be into a fourth (Germany) while here, in twelve hours I could be barely into the US, or out of my province (Nova Scotia), across one other province (New Brunswick) and into the next (Quebec) in the same amount of time.  And that wouldn't even be a quarter of the way across my country...  :ahhh

I just tried on Google Maps, the longest you can drive from A to B in the Netherlands would take you 4 hours

One of these days I think it would be great to show up unannounced at one of the UK Meetups.  I think that would be a lot of fun!  :D

And if you happen to drive by Aachen there's even a point where three country borders meet; I hear it's a typical pastime for kids to run around it, thus being in a different country every other step... :D

OK, it is a fine tradition for UK meet-ups to involve at least one poll:D  Lets see where we actually want to go to.

I would have thought that by now they'd have passport checks and immigration officers at each line!

The only way you could do that here is if you could somehow step from Greenland to Nova Scotia, then to Maine, or Canada to the US to Mexico.  Those are some mighty big steps though...
