Emerson EDC knife

One of Emerson's Tactical folders had an affair with a Swiss Army knife.  And THIS was born!!!

At $184.95 no way! I'm pretty sure we talked about this before. Still cool though.

That's the real question.  Is it worth the pricetag and pedigree??
BTW, we have talked abut this knife back in it prototype stage, when it didn't even had a name

If you see it as a knife with extras its actually not a crazy price if its a really good knife... but if you see it as an MT, then it does look pretty pricey for sure compared to most MTs.

I would still likely want to pick one up to check it out at least, whether or not Id keep it though is yet to be seen.

It would need scissors, a plain edge blade and a MAJOR price reduction before I'd consider handing over cash for one.

The website's EDC page has both a plain edge box and serrated edge box to click :tu:

I like the removable wrench/prybar concept. The price is indeed on the steep side, but I guess that's what it takes if you want machined-from-billet quality.

Just out of curiosity, what do regular Emerson knives (without nearly as much capability) usually sell for?
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I am inclined to say this is the lowest priced Emerson in production or close to anyhow. That said. Emerson knives are expensive. I have not owned one for years... But I think Ernie is keen on quality and this must be nice if he is willing to put his name on it. Like Bob, I like the pry tool. :)

I'll be buying one for sure.  Curiosity is too high for me.  Also I've always said Id rather own quality over quantity.  So Id rather have this than 20 cheapo tools.

i feel the same....i might just add a few more dollars and get a proper emerson. But i understand that some might find this just right for their intended usage
